Betty’s Yoga Semi-Gnar

aiight then. here goes.

I’ve been tossing around this idea for a while now. So, I think it’s best if I just give it a rough shot, then work out the details as I go along.

This page is going to be dedicated to Yoga for Skateboarders.

As Pro Betty, I am always hearing skater’s stories about gnarly spills and disasters. Sometimes, I’m even there to witness the bloodshed first hand. So I started thinking about my own yoga practice and how it helps me recover from everyday traumas. And even more so, how a meditative practice enables me to accomplish tasks that sometimes seem impossible. My thinking is that if I can somehow convince the skaters in my life to adopt a mellow pre- or post- skate yoga practice, they might have more fun skating, and spend less time dealing with injuries.

So here’s to the beginning of what I hope will be a rewarding and beneficial experiment:

    Hey I’m down for some tips. I’ve been going to Runyun Canyon free yoga classes ever since I hurt my back in July… and the funny thing about it is that after each class i find it is my MIND that shows the most improvement….. don’t forget that part of the equation.
